Bio­phar­ma bil­lion­aires dom­i­nate Forbes' list of the world's top 10 wealth­i­est health­care ex­ecs — and the pan­dem­ic has­n't hurt

Most of the world’s top 10 health­care bil­lion­aires owe their for­tunes to bio­phar­ma. And some have done even bet­ter as the pan­dem­ic spread, trig­ger­ing a mad scram­ble to find new drugs and vac­cines to counter the spread of coro­n­avirus.

Right at the top of the lat­est list from wealth track­er Forbes is am­ple ev­i­dence of the rich­es be­ing made in Chi­na’s boom­ing bio­phar­ma biz.

Zhong Hui­juan’s jump from chem­istry teacher to co-own­er of Han­soh Phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal was worth a per­son­al net worth set at $14.6 bil­lion. That al­so qual­i­fies her as one of the rich­est women in Asia.
