The sto­ried South San Fran­cis­co biotech and Roche sub­sidiary un­earthed a covert op­er­a­tion to prof­it from years of ex­pe­ri­ence and knowhow when it ac­cused Tai­wan’s JHL Biotech of steal­ing in­for­ma­tion through one of its se­nior sci­en­tists. JHL, which had scored a pact with Sanofi to mar­ket biosim­i­lars of Genen­tech’s top-sell­ing drugs, has since set­tled the case and agreed to shut down any re­lat­ed work.
