AbbVie sponsors online atopic dermatitis documentary debut, reveals new lifestyle data

Six people with atopic dermatitis literally bare their skin and open up about living with the painful condition in a new 10-minute documentary sponsored by AbbVie.

And as they all agree, it’s not just itching — it’s cracked skin, bleeding, blisters, pain, not being able to sleep, enduring stares and questions that make living with eczema “unbearable.”

They take turns listing what they’re tired of: being isolated, alone, unable to work and tired of being strong. Then a young mother from Slovenia adds quietly, “And sometimes, I’m tired of being alive.”
