Abu Dhabi's health de­part­ment taps Sanofi in clin­i­cal re­search and AI screen­ing deal

Abu Dhabi’s health de­part­ment — the health reg­u­la­tor with­in the Unit­ed Arab Emi­rates’ cap­i­tal — signed a col­lab­o­ra­tion deal with Sanofi yes­ter­day.

Ac­cord­ing to the de­part­ment‘s an­nounce­ment late Wednes­day, “The part­ner­ship re­it­er­ates Abu Dhabi’s on­go­ing ef­forts to po­si­tion it­self as a lead­ing life sci­ence des­ti­na­tion and an in­no­va­tion hub.”

As part of the deal, the pair are launch­ing a clin­i­cal re­search project and a “pa­tient re­cruit­ment pro­to­col.” They’ve al­so agreed to cre­ate projects re­lat­ed to da­ta gen­er­a­tion and pop­u­la­tion re­search for late-stage breast can­cer, along with blood dis­or­ders and liq­uid tu­mors.
