Alex Den­ner se­cures vic­to­ry in Amarin vote, oust­ing chair and adding sup­port­ers to board

Just weeks af­ter ac­tivist in­vestor Alex Den­ner called for Amarin’s chair­man to step down, the Irish biotech’s share­hold­ers have vot­ed in Den­ner’s fa­vor.

Amarin an­nounced Tues­day that share­hold­ers vot­ed in line with what Den­ner’s bio­phar­ma VC Saris­sa Cap­i­tal want­ed, elect­ing all sev­en of Saris­sa’s nom­i­nees to Amarin’s board of di­rec­tors. Chair­man Per Wold-Olsen was al­so vot­ed out, ef­fec­tive im­me­di­ate­ly.
