AMA, Ad Council and CDC reboot flu shot campaign for fall

With a worrisome flu season on the horizon, a trio of public health and advertising experts is dusting off some influenza ads to promote vaccinations this fall.

The CDC, Ad Council and American Medical Association are partnering again for the “Get My Flu Shot” public service campaign, now in its third year, with specific emphasis on reaching Black and Hispanic communities.

Two TV commercials created in previous years are currently being distributed nationally. “No Time for Flu,” first launched in 2020, features a busy family, restaurant chef, grocery store worker and ambulance crew all shown wearing masks as they agree they don’t have time for being sick with the flu.
