With the work never stopping, some companies are desperately trying to figure out how to attract more qualified employees.

Craig Meinhardt, Pfizer’s director of manufacturing operations, and Jeff Savard, Bristol Myers Squibb’s director of manufacturing, were among a dozen people in a breakout room in MassBioEd 2021 Life Sciences Workforce Conference on Wednesday. To a group filled with biopharma executives, academics and career counselors, they focused on three key issues in hiring for manufacturing: How do you get people to fill these roles, where do you find them and how do you train them?
