Bavarian Nordic seals European supply deal for smallpox/monkeypox vaccine
European authorities have ordered 110,000 doses of Bavarian Nordic’s smallpox/monkeypox vaccine, pushing the company to once again up its sales expectations — albeit slightly.
As the ongoing monkeypox outbreak put the Danish biotech on the map, negotiations and potential supply deals have been closely tracked every step of the way, although for the most part the company has kept the specifics, including the names of countries, confidential. So far, the US and Canada are the only buyers to go public with their purchases.
