Charles River handed subpoena by DOJ over non-human primate supply
Charles River Laboratories has received a subpoena from the US Department of Justice as part of an investigation into shipments of non-human primates from Cambodia, the manufacturing and research outfit announced during its Q4 and year-end earnings call.
The subpoena was handed down on Feb. 17, according to CEO James Foster, who addressed the case at the beginning of the investor call. He said that Charles River intends to fully cooperate with the DOJ and believes that once the investigation is complete, any concerns with Charles River will be found “without merit.”
