Charles Riv­er hand­ed sub­poe­na by DOJ over non-hu­man pri­mate sup­ply

Charles Riv­er Lab­o­ra­to­ries has re­ceived a sub­poe­na from the US De­part­ment of Jus­tice as part of an in­ves­ti­ga­tion in­to ship­ments of non-hu­man pri­mates from Cam­bo­dia, the man­u­fac­tur­ing and re­search out­fit an­nounced dur­ing its Q4 and year-end earn­ings call.

The sub­poe­na was hand­ed down on Feb. 17, ac­cord­ing to CEO James Fos­ter, who ad­dressed the case at the be­gin­ning of the in­vestor call. He said that Charles Riv­er in­tends to ful­ly co­op­er­ate with the DOJ and be­lieves that once the in­ves­ti­ga­tion is com­plete, any con­cerns with Charles Riv­er will be found “with­out mer­it.”
