China's patent law revisions set to take effect June 1; Verrica's second trip to the FDA is delayed
China is changing its patent protection laws starting June 1, and drug manufacturers are reportedly among those that will benefit most.
The country is aiming to give makers of brand name drugs more tools to protect their IP, according to Bloomberg Law, allowing such companies to sue before a similar generic product launches in China. Extensions for patent terms for things like delays at the patent laws will also be allowed under the new rules.
