Cipla reopens South African manufacturing site after violent protests
A South African manufacturing site that was raided is back open after the company says it was looted during violent protests about a month ago.
A Cipla manufacturing plant was among the buildings hit by looting and violence, in what the BBC called the worse scene of violence since the advent of democracy in 1994. Though the Durban facility did not, in fact, burn down, as Cipla clarified in its press release Thursday, it was subject to turmoil.
