Months af­ter Pres­i­dent Joe Biden pub­licly came out in sup­port of IP waivers for drug­mak­ers to help get vac­cines in the arms of peo­ple in coun­tries who need it, the White House’s top vac­cine diplo­mat has urged US vac­cine mak­ers to help sup­port the de­vel­op­ment of over­seas man­u­fac­tur­ing hubs.

The Fi­nan­cial Times re­port­ed that Gayle Smith wants Pfiz­er, J&J and Mod­er­na to share knowl­edge with ri­vals over­seas to help make vac­cines, and make them more af­ford­able.
