Covid-19 roundup: EU opts into 80M more Moderna vaccine doses; Boehringer Ingelheim takes its antibodies into the clinic
On the heels of its unanimous 20-0 adcomm vote in the US, Moderna has announced a new deal for its Covid-19 vaccine in Europe.
The European Commission has exercised an option to purchase an additional 80 million doses of the shot, Moderna said Friday morning, bringing its commitment to 160 million doses for the continent. Deliveries are expected to begin quickly should the EMA issue an authorization after CHMP meets to discuss its merits on Jan. 6.
