While Moderna has said its vaccine is 94.1% effective at preventing symptomatic Covid-19, a big question still remains: How long does protection last?
On Thursday, NIAID researchers read out interim Phase I data which show participants given Moderna’s candidate retained “high levels” of neutralizing antibodies through 90 days after their second vaccination. While based on only 34 participants, Moderna CMO Tal Zaks said the data “give us further optimism” about the candidate’s durability.
