Covid-19 roundup: Warp Speed re­leas­es vac­cine dis­tri­b­u­tion plans, but leaves key ques­tions unan­swered

HHS re­leased a much-an­tic­i­pat­ed plan Wednes­day de­tail­ing how they would get the vac­cines ac­cel­er­at­ed and pur­chased through Op­er­a­tion Warp Speed out to the gen­er­al pub­lic, with the caveat that much still de­pend­ed on which vac­cines first prove ef­fec­tive, in what groups and when.

“We’re deal­ing in a world of great un­cer­tain­ty — we don’t know the tim­ing of when we’ll have a vac­cine, we don’t know the quan­ti­ties, we don’t know the ef­fi­ca­cy,” HHS deputy chief of staff Paul Man­go told re­porters. “The mes­sage we’re try­ing to leave you with is we are pre­pared for all of those un­cer­tain­ties.”
