As Americans wait to receive the first doses of Pfizer and BioNTech’s recently authorized Covid-19 vaccine, President Donald Trump is walking back plans for White House staffers to be prioritized first.
A Trump administration spokesperson said on Thursday that top officials in the three branches of government would be among the first to receive a vaccine, NPR reported. Some officials worried the plan would “send the wrong message,” per a Forbes report. Hours later, Trump issued a reversal.
