Covid-19 roundup: Normal life is in sight, but not without further vaccinations — Bourla; For the 3rd time, EU Commission could extend export scheme

Days after the head of Moderna publicly said that he believes the pandemic will be over within a year, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla has said that normal life will return within the same time frame, in an interview on ABC’s “This Week.” But that normal life won’t come without vaccinations, he said.

“I don’t think that means that this means we should be able to live our lives without vaccinations, basically, the most likely scenario to me is that because the virus is spread all over the world, we will continue to see new variants that are coming out, and we will continue to have vaccines that will last at least a year,” Bourla said. “But we don’t know, we need to wait and see the data.”
