Dig­i­tal med com­pa­ny Ak­ili set to go pub­lic via Pal­i­hapi­tiya-backed SPAC — fur­ther­ing com­mer­cial launch and pipeline ex­pan­sion

PureTech sub Ak­ili In­ter­ac­tive — a pre­scrip­tion dig­i­tal health com­pa­ny and mak­er of the first pre­scrip­tion video game treat­ment — is now piv­ot­ing away from Se­ries VC back­ing and div­ing in­to the pub­lic sphere. And SPAC king and tech bil­lion­aire Chamath Pal­i­hapi­tiya is in­volved.

The sub­sidiary an­nounced this morn­ing that it en­tered a merg­er agree­ment with So­cial Cap­i­tal Su­vret­ta Hold­ings Corp. I, or SCS, a part­ner­ship be­tween Pal­i­hapi­tiya’s VC So­cial Cap­i­tal and Kishen Mehta at Su­vret­ta Cap­i­tal Man­age­ment.
