Employees in Florida IBS trial plead guilty for falsifying medical records; Cystic fibrosis tablet Trikafta now available for children 6 and older
A Florida duo who falsified medical records data in connection to two clinical trials for irritable bowel syndrome pleaded guilty in federal court this week, the US Department of Justice announced.
Eduardo Navarro, 52, of Miami, and Nayade Varona, 50, of Port St. Lucie, FL, were employees for Tellus Clinical Research. The two admitted to falsifying data in medical records, among other things, and making it appear as if they were subjects in the trial, the US Attorney’s office said in a statement.
