European Commission preps for major overhaul of pharma legislation
Sometime in the fourth quarter of next year, the European Commission is planning to release a major proposal to overhaul the continent’s general pharmaceutical legislation to boost the sector’s global competitiveness and create a regulatory environment that’s more attractive for innovation and investment.
Ahead of that proposal, the commission has now released a new roadmap, open for feedback until late December, outlining the problems this revised legislation seeks to tackle, as well as its objectives and how any revisions may impact the economy and society.
