Eu­ro­pean in­vest­ment group clos­es €260M raise for de­men­tia fund

Health­care in­vest­ment group EQT Life Sci­ences raised ap­prox­i­mate­ly €260 mil­lion to in­vest in com­pa­nies work­ing on neu­rode­gen­er­a­tive dis­eases.

The orig­i­nal tar­get fund size was €100 mil­lion, but the fund sur­passed that, hit­ting the hard cap at €260 mil­lion. The fund will be used to in­vest in com­pa­nies de­vel­op­ing drugs and med­ical tech­nolo­gies.

In­vestors in­clud­ed the Alzheimer’s As­so­ci­a­tion, the Eu­ro­pean In­vest­ment Fund, “sev­er­al” un­named glob­al phar­mas, as well as en­dow­ments and foun­da­tions.
