Genen­tech reach­es set­tle­ment with Tai­wanese biotech ac­cused of steal­ing trade se­crets — but will keep su­ing ex-staffers

Less than a year af­ter Genen­tech ac­cused JHL Biotech of de­vis­ing a scheme to steal trade se­crets in a scathing, de­tailed law­suit, it’s clos­ing in on a set­tle­ment with the Tai­wanese biosim­i­lar mak­er.

In­stead of wait­ing for an in­junc­tion, the big Roche sub­sidiary said they have reached a Mem­o­ran­dum of Un­der­stand­ing in which JHL agreed to shut down all work that al­leged­ly ben­e­fit­ed from stolen trade se­crets.
