Genen­tech's newest ad cam­paign calls out the sys­temic racism fu­el­ing US health in­equities

Genen­tech wants to do more than just shine a light on the health in­equities faced by Black and brown peo­ple. It wants to spur re­al change by look­ing at its root caus­es, and cen­ters tough ques­tions around that need for change in its new “Ques­tion Re­al­i­ty” cam­paign.

The cam­paign fea­tures a short one-minute film trac­ing the health sys­tem ex­pe­ri­ences of a Black woman from child­hood through adult­hood. It be­gins with a young girl ask­ing, “Why didn’t the doc­tor be­lieve me? Did I say some­thing wrong?”
