HHS to distribute 1.6M monkeypox vaccine doses this year
Confirmed monkeypox cases in the US have now surpassed 300, and as a result, the Department of Health and Human Services is making hundreds of thousands of Bavarian Nordic’s vaccine doses available.
HHS has promised to deliver 296,000 doses of the Jynneos vaccine — approved to treat both smallpox and monkeypox — in the coming weeks, including 56,000 doses which will be available immediately.
