
Merck commercial chief Frank Clyburn departs for CEO role at DuPont co-owned additives company
Merck’s head of Human Health, Frank Clyburn, who at one time was said to be in the running for the CEO role, is leaving the company. Clyburn, who oversaw global strategy, marketing and commercial operations at Merck, will become CEO at DuPont-majority owned International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF).
Clyburn became commercial chief officer in 2018, adding chief marketing duties and becoming president of Human Health in 2021, after another rumored CEO-candidate departed. Michael Nally left to join Flagship Pioneering as CEO-partner and head of Generate Biosciences.
