Mer­ck com­mer­cial chief Frank Clyburn de­parts for CEO role at DuPont co-owned ad­di­tives com­pa­ny

Mer­ck’s head of Hu­man Health, Frank Clyburn, who at one time was said to be in the run­ning for the CEO role, is leav­ing the com­pa­ny. Clyburn, who over­saw glob­al strat­e­gy, mar­ket­ing and com­mer­cial op­er­a­tions at Mer­ck, will be­come CEO at DuPont-ma­jor­i­ty owned In­ter­na­tion­al Fla­vors & Fra­grances (IFF).

Clyburn be­came com­mer­cial chief of­fi­cer in 2018, adding chief mar­ket­ing du­ties and be­com­ing pres­i­dent of Hu­man Health in 2021, af­ter an­oth­er ru­mored CEO-can­di­date de­part­ed. Michael Nal­ly left to join Flag­ship Pi­o­neer­ing as CEO-part­ner and head of Gen­er­ate Bio­sciences.
