mR­NA for all: WHO es­tab­lish­es bio­man­u­fac­tur­ing train­ing hub in Ko­rea

The WHO and South Ko­rea’s gov­ern­ment on Wednes­day un­veiled a new glob­al bio­man­u­fac­tur­ing train­ing hub in Seoul that will help low- and mid­dle-in­come coun­tries train more peo­ple to pro­duce vac­cines, in­sulin, mon­o­clon­al an­ti­bod­ies and can­cer treat­ments world­wide.

Ko­rea’s gov­ern­ment of­fered a large fa­cil­i­ty out­side Seoul that is al­ready car­ry­ing out bio­man­u­fac­tur­ing train­ing for com­pa­nies based in the coun­try and will now ex­pand its op­er­a­tions to ac­com­mo­date trainees from oth­er coun­tries.
