No­vavax, Fu­ji­film plow ahead on Covid-19 vac­cine pro­duc­tion de­spite OWS set­back

With No­vavax fac­ing a ma­jor set­back on its Covid-19 vac­cine roll­out, the com­pa­ny is work­ing with con­tract man­u­fac­tur­er Fu­ji­film Diosynth Biotech­nolo­gies to make sure the wheels are greased for pro­duc­tion the mo­ment a po­ten­tial EUA comes in.

Ear­li­er this week, No­vavax an­nounced it would de­lay fil­ing for the vac­cine af­ter the FDA called for the drug­mak­er to “pri­or­i­tize align­ment” of its lot-by-lot po­ten­cy da­ta as part of its prepa­ra­tion plans. No­vavax now thinks that will push fil­ing to Q4, it said in a Tues­day re­lease.
