On a hir­ing spree, Mod­er­na re­cruits an­oth­er Am­gen vet for the ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tee; Re­pare, For­ma set terms for IPO

Mod­er­na CEO Stéphane Ban­cel didn’t just get its new CFO from Am­gen. The biotech — look­ing to rev­o­lu­tion­ize vac­cine de­vel­op­ment and beat Covid-19 in light­ning-fast time — al­so just hired a new chief cor­po­rate af­fairs of­fi­cer who com­plet­ed a lengthy stint at the phar­ma gi­ant. Ray Jor­dan, the for­mer SVP of cor­po­rate af­fairs at Am­gen, who worked at the com­pa­ny for 7 years, be­fore leav­ing in 2019, is join­ing the ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tee at Mod­er­na in this new chap­ter of his ca­reer. Ban­cel’s tak­en a few months to get to know Jor­dan, who al­so had worked at J&J and Pfiz­er ear­li­er in his ca­reer. “It has been a plea­sure work­ing with Ray on a con­sult­ing ba­sis over the last four months and I am thrilled to wel­come him as our Chief Cor­po­rate Af­fairs Of­fi­cer and to the Ex­ec­u­tive Com­mit­tee,” said Ban­cel in a state­ment.
