PBM as­so­ci­a­tion launch­es ad cam­paign push­ing back on drug­mak­er­s' lob­by­ing ‘pow­er’ amid con­gres­sion­al pres­sure

As both the Sen­ate and House ad­vance bills around drug pric­ing and the phar­ma­cy ben­e­fit man­age­ment in­dus­try, the lead­ing PBM trade as­so­ci­a­tion is rolling out an ad cam­paign call­ing out phar­ma and try­ing to stop the pro­pos­als.

The sev­en-fig­ure TV and dig­i­tal cam­paign by the Phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal Care Man­age­ment As­so­ci­a­tion will run in Wash­ing­ton, DC, and some tar­get states. An­nounc­ing the cam­paign, the PC­MA ac­cused phar­ma com­pa­nies of spend­ing “tens of mil­lions of dol­lars” on paid ad­ver­tis­ing to in­flu­ence law­mak­ers and en­cour­age them to tar­get and blame PBMs.
