Promi­nent MIT sci­en­tist, biotech founder David Saba­ti­ni is thrown out of the White­head and HH­MI fol­low­ing sex­u­al ha­rass­ment probe

David Saba­ti­ni, who played a key role in the launch of sev­er­al biotechs in the Boston/Cam­bridge hub, has been sacked by the White­head In­sti­tute and the Howard Hugh­es Med­ical In­sti­tute fol­low­ing an in­de­pen­dent probe that de­ter­mined he had vi­o­lat­ed the White­head’s sex­u­al ha­rass­ment poli­cies. And ac­cord­ing to re­ports he’s been placed on leave from MIT while of­fi­cials con­sid­er re­vok­ing his tenure.
