Proxy adviser ISS supports only one of Icahn's candidates for Illumina board
A second proxy adviser firm issued a negative opinion of Illumina’s governance in the midst of its fight with investor Carl Icahn, another blow to the company’s attempt to fight off the activist agitator.
The report from Institutional Shareholder Services, or ISS, recommended that shareholders replace Illumina Chairman John Thompson, citing his long-standing business relationship with CEO Francis deSouza that predated their time at the genetic testing company.
