Sanofi re­or­ga­nizes phil­an­thropy ef­fort, de­buts Foun­da­tion S 'think and do tank'

Sanofi is ad­vanc­ing its phil­an­thropy com­mit­ment with the new­ly cre­at­ed Foun­da­tion S — The Sanofi Col­lec­tive. The new or­ga­ni­za­tion sub­sumes the Sanofi Es­poir Foun­da­tion — “es­poir” means hope in French — tak­ing on a new busi­ness mod­el with more flex­i­bil­i­ty and a “think and do tank” struc­ture.

The think and do mod­el in­cludes a tra­di­tion­al think tank with an ex­ter­nal com­mit­tee of ex­perts to guide the foun­da­tion’s roadmap, but al­so a “do tank” op­er­a­tions arm that will work to lend and de­ploy Sanofi em­ploy­ee ex­per­tise when and where it is need­ed.
