Sy­neos Health inks deal with Mi­crosoft to use AI tech­nol­o­gy

North Car­oli­na-based Sy­neos Health has signed a deal with the big tech firm Mi­crosoft to use its ar­ti­fi­cial in­tel­li­gence tech­nolo­gies.

In a press re­lease Mon­day, Sy­neos said it se­cured a mul­ti-year agree­ment with the tech gi­ant to use its Mi­crosoft Azure ser­vices. Sy­neos has been us­ing an an­a­lyt­ics plat­form and ma­chine learn­ing to sup­port its ef­forts in clin­i­cal tri­als and com­mer­cial pro­grams.

“We be­lieve it was the right time to kind of do an en­ter­prise-wide ef­fort to al­low our cus­tomers to ben­e­fit from AI,” said Ba­ba Shet­ty, the pres­i­dent of tech­nol­o­gy and da­ta so­lu­tions at Sy­neos, in an in­ter­view with End­points News.
