Takeda breaks ground on zero-emission site in Asia; Boston Labs emerges from stealth with mobile cell, gene therapy tech
Takeda has broken ground on a $14 million expansion of a Singapore manufacturing site, set to open by 2022. The zero-emissions building will be next to Takeda’s biologics manufacturing plant in JTC’s Woodlands Wafer Fab Park.
The building will have 660 solar panels, CO2 sensors to regulate fresh air and a hybrid air conditioning system to regulate energy usage, The Straits Times reported. The building will also have electric-vehicle charging spaces and harvest rainwater.
