Thermo Fisher posts the help wanted sign as it upgrades single-use manufacturing capacity in Pennsylvania for second time in two years
A Thermo Fisher Scientific single-use manufacturing site in Pennsylvania is getting a multimillion dollar upgrade and adding 100 new jobs as part of a much larger investment plan to up its capacity of critical materials used in Covid-19 vaccines.
The Millersburg, PA site has helped more than 20 different pharmas since the start of the pandemic, Mitch Kennedy, president of single-use technologies revealed in a statement. It will get a $40 million expansion to help with the development of new vaccines, cancer treatments and breakthrough therapies.
