Under pressure? FDA pencils in June review dates for Pfizer, Moderna Covid vaccines for kids, plus Novavax EUA
The FDA on Friday set up a slate of June meeting dates to review Covid-19 vaccine submissions — even though not all the plans are in yet.
The agency reserved June 8, 21 and 22 for virtual meetings of the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) to review Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech emergency use authorizations for younger age groups. While Moderna submitted its emergency use authorization for children aged 6 months to 6 years to the FDA on Thursday, Pfizer and BioNTech have yet to do so.
