Will the doctor see you now? Pharma sales reps juggle digital and in-person calls amid docs’ selectiveness
Pharma sales rep access is soaring these days, but there’s a catch. It’s not flipping back to pre-pandemic, traditional in-person access, but rather a new hybrid model of digital plus face-to-face interactions, according to Veeva’s latest quarterly physician insight report.
On average, access to healthcare professionals is hovering around 60%, with some specialties such as oncology nearing 80%. The caveat though is that access is a combined digital and in-person statistic with more than half of the doctors offering access choosing both methods.
