WP­P's VM­LY&R Health taps vet­er­an Gillis for CEO, amid re­fresh and first-ever health­care C-suite

The VM­LY&R phar­ma and health­care agency mar­keters in­for­mal­ly thought of them­selves as the health group, but now it’s of­fi­cial.

The new­ly named VM­LY&R Health this week al­so tapped its first CEO, Claire Gillis, al­though she is a fa­mil­iar face and long­time health­care ex­ec­u­tive among the WPP hold­ing com­pa­ny’s ranks.

Gillis, a phar­ma­col­o­gist and health econ­o­mist by train­ing, has been an ex­ec­u­tive in WPP health prac­tices and agen­cies since 2016, and be­fore that ran WPP’s med­ical ac­cess con­sul­tan­cy WG Group that she orig­i­nal­ly found­ed. With the CEO ap­point­ment, she al­so joins the broad­er VM­LY&R group ex­ec­u­tive team.
