Catal­ent to build a $40M an­a­lyt­i­cal ser­vices fa­cil­i­ty in North Car­oli­na's Re­search Tri­an­gle

Catal­ent is look­ing to make a fur­ther com­mit­ment in the Tar Heel State — and will be ex­pand­ing its pres­ence there.

The CD­MO on Tues­day an­nounced that it will build a new bi­o­log­ics an­a­lyt­i­cal cen­ter in Durham, NC, a city just to the west of the cap­i­tal and with­in the re­search tri­an­gle, a ma­jor area for drug man­u­fac­tur­ing and lab­o­ra­to­ry work. The new fa­cil­i­ty will of­fer stand­alone an­a­lyt­i­cal de­vel­op­ment and test­ing for bi­o­log­ics in­clud­ing cell and gene ther­a­pies.
