Covid-19 roundup: Azar says US could have vac­cines for all by March; Mod­er­na gets $56M to build mo­bile vac­cine 'fac­to­ry'

As Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump is di­al­ing down ex­pec­ta­tions for a quick vac­cine, his HHS Sec­re­tary Alex Azar is amp­ing up the op­ti­mism.

Giv­ing a keynote speech at a Gold­man Sachs Health­care vir­tu­al event, Azar said that Op­er­a­tion Warp Speed is shoring up 100 mil­lion vac­cine dos­es by the end of 2020 — “enough to cov­er es­pe­cial­ly vul­ner­a­ble pop­u­la­tions.” As­sum­ing all the can­di­dates the gov­ern­ment has pre-or­dered clear late-stage test­ing, that is.
