As President Donald Trump is dialing down expectations for a quick vaccine, his HHS Secretary Alex Azar is amping up the optimism.
Giving a keynote speech at a Goldman Sachs Healthcare virtual event, Azar said that Operation Warp Speed is shoring up 100 million vaccine doses by the end of 2020 — “enough to cover especially vulnerable populations.” Assuming all the candidates the government has pre-ordered clear late-stage testing, that is.
