Sanofi unveils $476M vaccine plant in Singapore, bringing its total outlay to $1.7B in the field for past year
Sanofi is ready to spend money on manufacturing to prepare for the next global pandemic, and they aren’t being shy about it. In the latest in a flurry of moves, the French drugmaker announced it will invest €400 million — roughly $476.26 million — at a new site in Singapore.
The move, announced Monday, will help complement Sanofi’s existing manufacturing facilities in Europe and North America, and will help respond quickly to pandemic risks in the future. The project is expected to create up to 200 local jobs and up Singapore’s status as a home to innovation in the healthcare industry. EVP Thomas Triomphe said:
