Months after President Joe Biden publicly came out in support of IP waivers for drugmakers to help get vaccines in the arms of people in countries who need it, the White House’s top vaccine diplomat has urged US vaccine makers to help support the development of overseas manufacturing hubs.
The Financial Times reported that Gayle Smith wants Pfizer, J&J and Moderna to share knowledge with rivals overseas to help make vaccines, and make them more affordable.
