Novavax, Fujifilm plow ahead on Covid-19 vaccine production despite OWS setback
With Novavax facing a major setback on its Covid-19 vaccine rollout, the company is working with contract manufacturer Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies to make sure the wheels are greased for production the moment a potential EUA comes in.
Earlier this week, Novavax announced it would delay filing for the vaccine after the FDA called for the drugmaker to “prioritize alignment” of its lot-by-lot potency data as part of its preparation plans. Novavax now thinks that will push filing to Q4, it said in a Tuesday release.
