Two doses of Pfizer-BioNTech have greater initial effectiveness against new Covid-19 infections, but this effectiveness declines faster than two doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca, according to a new study from researchers at Oxford.
The results from this large community surveillance study, which looked at PCR results from more than 700,000 during both the Alpha- and Delta-dominant periods, showed that vaccination with two doses of both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines still significantly reduce the risk of new infections.
