Covid-19 roundup: FDA plans Covid-19 booster adcomm but Pfizer and Moderna's apps won't be discussed
The FDA’s vaccines advisory committee will meet on April 6 to discuss Covid-19 vaccine boosters, but the committee will not vote on any questions and neither Pfizer nor Moderna’s fourth shot applications will be discussed.
Instead, a group of outside scientists, academics, CDC and NIH officials will discuss considerations for future Covid vaccine boosters and the process for selecting specific strains of the SARS-CoV-2 virus for vaccines to address current and emerging variants.
