CSL's Seqirus caps off $156M expansion of flu manufacturing facility in Raleigh suburb
The flu vaccine manufacturer Seqirus has completed a new facility expansion at its site in Holly Springs, NC, a suburb of Raleigh.
The expansion, which started in 2018, cost the company $156 million and will add around 80 jobs to the area. The expansion will also bring the Holly Springs site to a total of 664,000 square feet, according to the company.
The expansion is designed to support the formulation and fill-finish of its cell-based flu vaccines in pre-filled syringes for global distribution. The company currently manufactures three types of flu vaccine including Afluria, Fluad and Flucelvax.
