Florida Gov. DeSantis hints at suing FDA over stalled Canadian drug import plan
While pledging to save “hundreds of millions of dollars” by allowing cheaper Canadian imports of “the same drugs,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday hinted at potentially taking FDA to court over his state’s plan seeking to jumpstart this new stream of pharmaceuticals.
“We may even end up in litigation over this,” DeSantis said at a press conference ahead of signing an executive order on PBMs, while lamenting that the FDA under President Joe Biden has not done anything yet to approve Florida’s request from November 2020 and other state requests too.
