Judge orders Merck to hand over adverse events database in Gardasil lawsuit
A North Carolina federal judge has ordered Merck to provide its database of adverse events associated with its HPV vaccine Gardasil to attorneys representing people suing the company over allegations that the vaccine has caused severe autoimmune reactions.
In an order from late last month, US District Judge Robert Conrad Jr. of the Western District of North Carolina said that the plaintiffs “and their experts should have the same opportunity as Merck to review and analyze the entirety of the data.”
