Pfizer hits the mark with Queen and science: Pfizer announced a last-minute jump into the Super Bowl lineup the day before it aired a celebratory “Here’s to Science” 60-second commercial and a promise to tackle cancer.
Advertising Age gave the ad 3.5 stars, applauding the well-chosen “joyful” music of Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now,” while USA Today’s panel of experts gave it a 5.34, ranking the ad 26th out of the 59 commercials it rated. Pfizer’s ad has been viewed more than 1.1 million times on YouTube, an extended 2-minute version has more than 320,000 views, and a 3-minute behind-the-scenes making of the commercial video has topped more than 28,000 views.
