Since last week’s shooting and death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, there’s been a wave of frustration expressed with the health insurance industry, and support for the alleged killer.
The healthcare industry, as we chronicle here, has no shortage of problems. In the last week, it feels like the attention on those issues — especially around insurance benefits — has never been higher. I can’t help but think of a decade ago, when high drug prices were at the heart of that frustration.
